About
Jeannette Lachhar (pronounced “Law-sher) (she/her) is a visual artist working in printmaking, drawing, watercolor, photography, and ceramics. Born in 1990 in Oakland, California to Cuban and Punjabi immigrants, she uses a variety of mediums to explore themes of multicultural and interfaith identity, cultural histories, memory, interpersonal communication and connection. Her work is inspired by personal experiences and stories that have been passed down through generations either verbally, through film photographs, or handwritten letters. She recieved her B.A. in Art Practice from the University of California, Berkeley in 2023 and currently lives and works in Emeryville, CA.
